Sometimes God or luck has something
else & you run after something else. I have always believed that’s whatever
is written on your forehead is going to happen at any cost & under any
circumstances. Sometimes, our hunger is bigger than our need & sometimes
God gifts us with abundance even though we had never asked for it. This happens
with everyone sometime or other during his/her life. A lot of philosophical
lecture has been delivered on this issue, you all must be thinking about this
or like this…but believe me today the story which I am going to narrate to you
all establishes this fact forever & ever. It’s a true story with names
& locations changed but it’s based on true events…So what are we waiting
for let’s catch it out…
This
is a story of two adorable & lovely sisters - Mahek & Tanya. Mahek was
elder sister & as her name suggests she was a “delightful fragrance” by
nature & also by her external appearance. She was full of life girl, ready
to enjoy every moment of life & for her life was a “roller coaster” ride.
Basically few days ago, Jitesh, a fashion photographer, had offered a modeling
assignment for a beauty cream & she was super excited about it & was
reported for the “before time” as she did not wanted to give him a single
excuse of firing her out of the assignment. So that was life for Mahek.
On
the other hand was Tanya, as simple down to earth girl who was only concerned
about her studies & was very much focused over it & she was so focused
that at the age of 18 she had to take help of power glasses, but the good thing
was that she was an ‘”academic genius” as she always passed it with distinction
in all her exams since childhood. The fact f which she was very proud of was
that her school had preserved her notes in its library to serve as “path
shower” to other students & she was also honored by her school on annual
Day Celebrations few years back for her “glittering contribution”. For her
world started with text books & ended on text books, but that doesn’t mean
that she did not like to “socialize” with people , she often went to social
ceremonies but only to those ceremonies in which her family took her with them.
Otherwise she was very much like “home sweet home” kind of person…she loved her
family very much…& her career plans were as crystal clear as water…nothing
to hide & everything to show…a very decent & well mannered girl…in
other words, a “complete girl” or a girl about whom every good man dreams
about…
In
next few months she was going to appear for the final of PG Exams& after
passing it out, she was seriously considering of joining her father’s business
of jeweler as her dada Mr. Rajesh Patel was one of the renowned jeweler of “Kolkata”. Her dad & mother Asha Patel
were very much proud of their daughters but they always had “soft corner” for
Tanya & Mahek knew this fact, but she was never “jealous” of Tanya &
always used to address her affectionately as “ghar ki gudiya”.
So
this was life for Patel family…
So now as we are aware of the life
style & daily routine of Patel Family, let’s try to peep into as to what
happening in their life as if now
Today is 14th Feb 2015
& Both Mahek & Tanya have gone to attend marriage ceremony of Mahek’s
friend Mahima at Goregaon, & there they happened to meet one of the most
eligible bachelor of Mumbai...Aryan, son of business tycoon Ajay Mehra, who
happened to be Mahima’s friend by luck or you can say co-incidentally.
Both the sisters met Aryan in
different occasions, Tanya Met Aryan while she was going to fetch glass of soft
drink for herself & Mahek met Aryan while she was having lunch & since
Mahek was more active in the field of fashion, she recognized Aryan at the 1st
instance…& as usual Aryan was impressed by Mahek’s beauty & frank
attitude & Mahek had realized & understood this…Well it was casual
meeting between the three.
But then on 20th Feb,
Jitesh’s birthday party, Mahek & Aryan met again & this time on the
dance floor & had quality time till 10:30 pm & both of them exchanged their phone
numbers & next morning as promised by Aryan he rang up Mahek for a meeting
& Mahek had not given it importance & on receiving call from Aryan she
was taken aback, however, she managed a coffee appointment with Aryan &
City Coffee, one of the reputed restaurant,
at 5 pm & that was “cool” with Aryan for he also did not also wanted
his business to suffer a loss due to a meeting with girl. Actually he was
planning lunch with her at the Taj but coffee was also “okay” with him, for a
girl whom he had met few days back.
At the appointed time & place
Mahek was present waiting for Aryan & he was about ½ an hour late & the
first words with Mahek said “Bade log aksar late aate hain, koi baat
nahi…hamara kya hai…” to which Aryan replied”Arey Yaar, main nikalne hi wala
tha par ek client aagaya tha...so I am
alte & I do apologize...” again Mahek was quick to respond “Did I overheard
the word ‘yaar’ ?’, Aryan said “Yes! Didn’t you liked it?” & Mahek replied,
“It really felt nice to hear this from a friend who’s only two meetings old…”
& they laughed it out…
Slowly & gradually, evening
coffee at City Coffee became an integral part their daily life & soon they
fell in love with each other& al this happened between a short span of 3
months...just 90 days…can you imagine…so closeness & so much love &
respect for each other’s feelings…
All
was well among these two love birds then one day Tanya over heard Mahek that as
she was saying “These boys are so stupid, it’s so easy to make them fool, just
talk to them frankly & with some love in your tone & they began to
dance to your tunes” in their (sisters) room. So this was Mahek, where on one
side there was Aryan who was madly in love with Mahek, while on the other side
was Mahek who was just using Aryan to gain popularity & to achieve her target
of becoming renowned Bollywood Actress.
Tanya
tried her best to bring Mahek round to the point that Aryan loved her so much
& that she should not play with him & his feelings for her, it will
cost her dearly, but Mahek almost shouted her “I know what I am doing, I don’t
need your advice, what do you know “ghar ki gudiya”, you just stay at home
& wait for your PG Exam results & you stay out of all this…”
Well
Tanya did not took it on her heart & just moved on with her daily routine
of reading books, but then at 11 am her mom Mrs. Asha Patel forced her to go for a matinee show in a
theater along with her as a group of 11 ladies was also accompanying them to
the show. So it was nice day for Tanya & Her mom.
Two
days later, Tanya’s results came & as always she passed out with
distinction & on this happy occasion her father gifted her a two month world tour package along with her
college friends & all was looking to be very well & roller coaster ride
for Patel Family. Tanya was both shocked & happy at this gift of her
father, but owing to parents’ wish she had to give up. Actually Mr. & Mrs.
Patel always had a “soft corner” for their younger daughter as she was never so
bold & frank like Mahek & was not a “social animal” like her elder
sister…so now she was off to “World Tour” with her college friends for two
months.
A
day after her departure, Rajesh was
telling Asha “Without Tanya this home seems to be so vacant…I am really missing
her very much..but I am also happy for her that at last she has gone to enjoy
her life after all she has been residing in home all her life…I am very proud
of her as she has never let us down.” He further said “I am thinking of
incorporating her into home business once she returns from abroad” to which
Asha replied “Yes! You are right but on one side Mahek is flamboyant girl,
she’s enjoying her life to the fullest, it would not be wise & kind to
thrust all pressure on Tanya alone…let’s give her a break...let her return from
abroad first then after some time I myself will talk to her”, Rajesh liked
Asha’s advise as it was wise & just.
When
we think that nothing will happen only then something awkward happens,
otherwise life remains as a “roller coaster” ride…today after 15 days of
Tanya’s departure from home…Tonight Mahek was going to attend a party with
Aryan where most of the bollywood celebrities were supposed to be present &
she was looking forward to Ancash on this opportunity at any cost & was
super excited about this. She had made all the preparations for this day by
buying new expensive dress, went to parlor in the evening from where Aryan
picked her up for the mega event of her life & in the party here
photographer Jitesh took her to some of the bollywood celebs who offered her
role in their movies but also asked her to come to Mumbai within next one month
as there movies were going on floor within 2 months & now it was up to
Mahek to think what she would like to do pursue her career as model in fashion
industry or would she like to join films? She was in dilemma & the main
cause was that Tanya was not at home, had she been at home then she would have
definitely joined films because Tanya was like “Ghar Ki Gudiya” & today for
the 1st time in her life she understood Tanya’s value…but she had to
take a stand & that too with or without Tanya & within next 7 days she
had taken her stand that she would like to films.
Now
10th Dec was fixed as their engagement date & but guess what on
the noon of 8th Dec Mahek left her home to fulfill her much ambitious
dream of becoming “Bollywood Actress” & she had left a letter addressed to
her parents & Aryan clearly stating that she did not wanted to pass her
life as house wife like her mother & that she wanted to turn her dream of
becoming Beollywood Actress into reality & once she attains this feat, she
will be back home & then she might think of marrying Aryan, son of business
tycoon Mr. Ajay Mehra, & hoped that they will understand her.
This
stand taken by Mahek left her parents & Aryan scattered into pieces, they
had never thought that Mahek would take such “drastic & bold” step like
this. At night around 10 pm, Mr. & Mrs. Patel thought that they should
ring-up Tanya & ask her to return back at the earliest so that they can get
her engaged with Aryan. So they rang-up Tanya & made her known with entire
circumstances & requested her or you
can say that they almost begged before her to return at the earliest to save
the honor of the family as with Mahek’s escape from home they were not left
with any other option & Tanya was too “obedient & sincere” to return by
12 noon of 9th Dec & as soon she arrived at the airport, she was
welcomed with warm hug by her father & mother & with tears in their
eyes, but Tanya was cool as ever & she said “Kya aapne Aryan aur Mr. Ajay
Mehra se baat ki is bare mein?” to which they replied “Humne to is bare mein
socha nahin chalo aaj sham 5 baje unko ghar bulakar baat karte hain…” &
Asha replied with heavy & sentimental voice “Hum hamesha tumhare ehsaanmand
rahenge, Patel khandaan hamesha tumhara karzdaar rahega…” & this was Tanya
for you she always focused wht was the problem & how it could be solved?
Her parents liked her suggestion…
So
they called up Mehras at 5 pm in the evening & unanimously arrived at conclusion
that okay! Tanya & Aryan’s engagement will take place tomorrow evening
& they will announce in the ring ceremony that it was Mahek’s wish that as
she’s going to Mumbai to fulfill her dream of becoming renowned Bollywood
Actress, so she wanted that Aryan & Tanya should tie a knot & in keeping with her wish we are
undertaking this ring ceremony. Patel family was very much obliged to Mehras
for taking this stand & saving the honor of the family.
So
on the evening of 10th Dec, Tanya & Aryan got engaged in a gala
ceremony at 5 Star Hotel. It was very
“awkward & embarrassing” situation for Aryan & Tanya, her would be
sister-in-law was going to become his better half in next few days or months,
but they had to accept the circumstances & bow before it as there was no
way out. Well night passed away with
heavy heart for both of them…
Well
next morning at 9 o’clock Aryan rang-up Tanya & asked her for a meeting at
lunch at a restaurant & Tanya was happy to oblige. At 1 pm they met at Taj
Restaurant & before Tanya could
utter something Aryan broke down before her saying that “Mahek mujhe andar tak
tod kar rakh diya…I am finished… I am finished…” to which Tanya replied
strongly without moist eyes “Dekho Aryan! Di
ne aisa kyun kiya yeh hum sab jante hain…par yeh sahi waqt nahi tha, use
thooda intezaar karna chahiye tha…kam se kam shadi tak…” & then she
narrated the whole incident that how did she had overheard Mahek saying “These
boys are so stupid, it’s so easy to make them fool, just talk to them frankly
& with some love in your tone & they began to dance to your tunes” in
their (sisters) room & had tried to bring her round but to no avail…This
angered Aryan more & he said “It means that Mahek was using me or rather
say my contacts to realize her dreams & she was not in love with me &
was just acting to be in love with me…” & Tanya replied “Yes! You can say
that, you know that I did not wanted to tell you about this but since you are
so broken down by her betrayal, it was my duty & it had became a necessity for
you to know that Mahek was using you & was not in love with you”…This fact
angered Aryan & filled him up with more courage to face this situation…
Well
on Sunday, Aryan called Tanya @ 9 am again & he wanted to spend entire day
with her…Tanya was bit hesitant as she sought her mother’s permission &
then relented to Aryan’s request…they went together at Aryan’s farm house to
spend quality time & then returned
home at 8 at night…it was good day as Aryan did not tried to get “physical”
with Tanya & that he opened up all the pages of his life before Tanya &
in return Tanya consoled him & encouraged him & boost up his
morale…Aryan wondered at the fact that even in so difficult situation, how can
Tanya be so “cool”? While returning home Aryan felt that whatever happens,
happens for the good & that Tanya was better than Mahek & if Mahek had
not run away then he would not never came to know about this fact…
Two
days later, Tanya herself rang-up Aryan for a coffee (with her mom’s
permission) @ 5 pm ay City Coffee once again, but Aryan was ready to oblige
& was happy to go there & meet her. Moreover, Tanya’s mom told her that
she doesn’t need to seek her permission whenever she goes out with Aryan &
that she only need to inform that where’s she’s going with Aryan & at what
time she will return? This brought some relief to Tanya…
Slowly
over time, within one month, Aryan & Tanya became “normal” with each other
& both had accepted the fact that “they are made for each other” & now
their families were seriously thinking of
tying their knot at the earliest, because they did not wanted any
obstacle (particularly Mahek’s return, because Mr. Rajeh Patel had collected
news about Mahek that she has failed to bag a role for her in a movie in Mumbai
& is now running short of funds
& that she might return anytime) in this auspicious occasion.
Today
was 15th Jan, Tanya’s birthday & Tanya was trying to fit lens in
her eyes while Aryan entered her room & asked “Yeh Kya Kar rahi ho?” she
replied” Khud ko tumhare barabar kar rahi hoon, maine socha is se acha tumhare
liye surprise aur kya ho sakta hai/”, to which Aryan replied “Tumhe Aisa Kuch
karne ki koi zaroorat nahi…tum jaisi ho bahut khoobsurat ho aur mujhe tumse
bahut bahut pyaar karta hoon…” & hugged her & greeted her “Happy Birthday
Gorgeous, do you know aaj tumhare liye birthday gift laya hoon aur gift yeh hai
ki hum dono ki shaadi hone wali hai…14th Feb, the day we had met for
the first time aur neeche mere dad aye hue hain tumhare mom dad se ise bare
mein baat karne…”
So it
was decided that on 14th Feb Aryan & Tanya would get married
& this was the biggest birthday gift she could have ever asked for all her
life as she came down the stairs she uttered these words while seeking
blessings of her parents & Mr. Ajay
Mehra, but in return her mother said “Beta tumne to apni life humein gift kar
di …is se bada gift hamare liye aur kya ho sakta hai…jeete raho bate…bhagwan
tum dono ki Jodi hamesha banaye rakhey…”
Mr.
Patel was very “cautious” as he was “suspicious” that Mahek may return anytime.
Everything was going in an planned manner & then suddenly on 10th
Feb Mahek arrived at home & was both surprised & shocked to see that marriage
preparations were going on & then she met her mother Mrs. Asha Patel, who
tok her to her room & aksde her to leave the home & if she wants to
stay then she neds to keep her mouth shut “you selfish, slef-centede &
ambitious girl, who uses other people’s sentiments to climb up the ladder of
success & returns home on being “unsuccessful, you cannot stay in my home
& if you want to stay just keep your mouth shut, that’s it!” are the words
with which she had welcomed Mahek at home & rang-up her husband Mr. Rajesh
Patel & Mr. Patel in turn rang up Aryan & Mr. Ajay Mehra & informed them
about the latest development. Within ½ an hour everyone had arrived at Mr.
Patel’s home & by that time Mahek had came to know the fact that Tanya
& Aryan are getting married on 14th Feb & had also met Tanya
& had begun to quarrel with her on the whole issue, but this time Tanya was
also not a “mum girl” & she fired these words at Mahek, “Di! tum to actress
banne gaye the na Mumbai kya hua, haar gayee, paise khatam ho gaye aur ghar aa
gayee…tum to Aryan ko use kar rahi thi naa…kamyabi ki sirhiyaan charhne ke liye…kya
hua gir gayee aundhey mooh…tumhare liye to Aryan “stupid” tha naa…tum ne use jo
zakham diya maine un zakhmo ko bhara hai …pane pyaar, dulaar aurr care se…haan
maine Aryan se engagement samjhauta smajh kar kit hi…par aaj main Aryan ko aur
Aryan Mukjhe abahut bahut pyaar karte hain…aur hum dono ek dusre se juda nahin
ho sakte kisi bhi keemat par nahin” & to this Aryan said “Sahi kaha Tanya,
ek tum hi ho jisne mujhe smabhala, sahara diya, aage barhne ka hausla diya,
hamarai engagement ek compromise zaroor this “ghar ki izzat” bachane ke liye…lekin
aaj hamra pyaar us se bhi bada sach hai…aur haan Mis Mahek! 14th Feb
ko aana mat bhulna…we are getting married, hope that you would definitely come
& grace the occasion..”
Now
Mahek was “completely broken” into several pieces & she was left all alone
in her own home, but later at night her mother Asha Patel entered in her (guest)
room as Tanya’s room was already occupied by many gifts & clothes &
hugged her & made her understand “Beta agar tumhein actress banna tha to
humse kehti…tere dad khud tujhe Mumbai chodkar aate…is tarah paise lekar bina
batye Mumbai jane ki kya zaroorat thi..janti ho kitni mushkil se hum ne apne
aap ko sambhala aur ghar ko smabhala aur sabse upar “ghar ki izzat” ko smabhala, who to bhala ho Aryan ka jo
tumhari gair maujodgi mein Tanya se
mangni aur shadi karne ke liye raazi ho gaya, aur tum yeh kyun bhool gayee ki
Tanya ne kitni badi qurbani di…Aryan Tumhara mangetar tha…tumhari us se mangni
honewali thi aur tum ghar chodkar chali gayee…bina bataye…yeh jo kuch bhi hua
is sirf aur sirf tumhari galti hai….” & both ladies hugged each other &
wept for about 10 minutes & in their tears all the hatred, anger &
selfishness got washed away & Mr. Rajesh Patel & Tanya were also watching all this &
they also entered room & hugged Mahek & everything just became all
right & happy & then Mahek promised Tanya “Shaadi ke din main khud
tumko sajaooungi, aur mujhse zyada khush aur koi nahin ho sakta, aur dad aap
yeh mat samajhiye ki sirf aap ki nazar hi mujh par thi…meri nazar bhi Tanya aur
aap sab par thi. Main amnati hoon meri galti hai, pane swarth mein aakar maine
aap sab ko bahut bahut dukh diya, ghar ki izzat ko mitti mein mila diya, is
baat ka ehsaas mujhe 10th Jan tak ho gaya tha jab film producer Raj
ne mujhe dhokha diya aur mujhse vada kar k eek dusri ladki Mita ko apni film mein
as a heroine sign kar liya tha, baad mein mujhe pata chala ke Mita uske saath “compromise”
kiya tha jiski wajah se usne use apni film ki heroine banaya, aur maine yeh ‘compromise’
uske saath nahin kiya aur maine yeh role kho diya, tab nujhe ehsaas hua ke mujh
se kitni badi galti ho gayee thi aur main apne saheli Mahima se contact kiya
aur use sari baat batayi aur phir usne mujhe sari khabar di, isliye aaj 10th
eFeb ko maine wapas aane ke decide kiya, main janti thi, aap mujhs se itni
nafrat ya mujhpar itna gussa nahi karenge jitna aap Tanya se Nafrat pyaar karte
hain, bas Mahima se baat karke main wapas aa gayee…aur maine use Tanya ki
marriage pe bhi bulaya hai…so merei pyrai “ghar ki gudiya” tumhein aane wali
khushi ki bahut bahut mubarakbaad…aur 14th Feb ko Mahima bhi tumko
sajayegi…so just cheer-up. Aap logon ne job hi dekha yeh sab ek chota sa natak
tha, actually I am very happy for you Tanya from within…come…” & she hugged
Tanya tightly…
So this
is God or you can say that exactly one year age on the very same date both had
met Aryan at Mahima’s marriage & exactly after a year Tanya & Aryan got
getting marriage & both Mahek & Mahima are doing the make-up of the
bride…so what can be said…once a fiancée is now a sister-in-law & once a
sister-in-law is going to become a bride
of the same guy…as promised Mahek & mahima danced their heart out at Tanya’s
wedding & rejoiced in her happiness, but alone she was in all tears from
top to bottom in the very same room where she & Tanya once stayed as
sisters & now after Tanya’s marriage that room belonged to her & only
her. Late at night, while she was weeping silently, her parents entered her
room & hugged her & her mom said “Beta! Sometimes it happens in life
that you lose a match winning match, but real champion is one who turns defeat
into a victory, you have already proved that you are a champion by not ‘compromising’
before Raj & now it’s just over time when you will find someone like Aryan
& on that day I don’t want to repeat this mistake again & we want you
to become like Tanya...may god bless you...now cheer up…” & now everyone was happy
So,
sometimes it happens that life rewards us with “blessings in disguise which we
don’t understand t the 1st instance & we blame over God that why
God has done this with us but over time, we realize that whatever God does is
for good. Of course! Mahek lost Aryan but she got the lesson of lifetime &
Tanya & Aryan got the right partner for each other…so let’s be happy &
forget all our worries
